University of Richmond, Va.—photo by HowarcRoad Changes Recommended By CityThe Richmond Planning Commission has recommended to City Council the removal of proposed authorization for the city manager to quitclaim all the city's rights to Gambles Mill Road, giving the ownership of the road to the University.Due to increased traffic congestion in the area, many motorists use Gambles Mill Road to avoid traffic lights in the Three Chopt and Cary Street Road area, causing more of a problem.The commission did recommend the construction of turn-around dead ends at the western terminal of Roselawn Road and Ridgeway Road, thus closing access to Gambles Mill Road by these routes.
