WILLIAM RAUE DIED AT IOWA CITY THURSDAYALBURNETT — William Henry Raue died in an Iowa City hospital Thursday following a long illness.Born Sept. 12, 1906, in Benton county, he was married to Aletha Barton, Dec. 20, 1938, in Cedar Rapids. Mr. Raue was employed by the Cedar Rapids Block Co.Surviving, in addition to his wife, are six sons, Kenneth Dean of Alburnett, William, Jr. of Ariz., Gerald E. in die U.S. Army, David Charles, Robert, and Ricky, all at home; two daughters, Mrs. Marshall Chamberlain of Marion, and Vicky Raue at'home; four grandchildren; his mother. Anna Raue of Luzerne; four brothers, Roy of Florida, Ralph of Walker, Art of Urbana, and Kurt of Luzerne; three sisters, Lillian Bittner and Minnie Brammow, both of Waterloo, and Elsie Raue of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.Mr. Raue was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 238.Services were conducted Monday at Turner Chapel with burial at Pleasant Hill cemetery at Blairstown.
