Ole Illinois Tops WesleyanOle Illinois slipped one over on the Titans last Saturday, Jan. 26 by dropping in a field goal with 30 seconds in the game remaining. These two points proved to be the margin of victory, 42-40.Wesleyan was far below par. Hank Bennett’s play was hindered by an accident early in the game when he sustained a chipped tooth. Frank Whitman was removed because of a sprained ankle. The Jacksonville club played a slow stalling type game and after several minutes play the Green and White fell for theirtactics and were defeated.*This was another one of those ball games that should be considered water over the dam. The Titans played a poor game against an opponent that hasn’t had basketball for four years. It’s over now, and Coach Horen-berger and the squad are looking forward, and not brooding about one that was lost. Two things are worth putting on the records. Frank Whitman scored 10 points to lead the Titan scoring. Hank Bennett displayed the old *‘intestinal fortitude” while playing the game with his tooth visibly causing him a lot of trouble.IT WILL PAY YOU TO READ THE ADS 'IlliHlilllIilllli[21llllilll!|IC2lillllllHIO!lilllilllOllillll!liOIIIIRECORDSHear The New Hits and Popular Old Favorites Now.'Welcome to My Dreams It’s Anybody’s SpringBING CROSBYTilt’s Never Too Late to Pray ChicagoTOMMY DORSEY^Personality If I Knew ThenJOHNNY MERCERArtistry Jumps Just A-Sittin’ and A-Rockin’ STAN KENTON^Aren’t You Glad You’re You In the Land of Beginning AgainBING CROSBY^rThat Feeling in the Moonlight You’re Nobody ’Til Somebody Loves YouRUSS MORGAN★Hora Staccato
