Funeral Services Conducted For Mrs. Laura Hicks January 24Funeral services were held in Anson Saturday January 24, for Mrs.. Laura Hicks, who had lived her for fifty years. She died of a heart attack at 2:35 oclock Friday aiternoon, January 23.Mrs. Hicks was born in Alabama on December 15, 1854. She was Laura Creel before her marriage to Ed Hicks. Mr. Hicks died twelve years ago.Funeral services were heldat the Primitive Baptist Church at 2:30 oclock last Saturday afternoon. All funeral arrangements were in charge of Lawrence Funeral Ho;r e.Mrs. Kicks had no children and there are no immediate survivors. She was living in the home of her niece, Mrs. George Pearce, at the time of her death. Nieces and nephews, besides Mrs. Pearce, are Mrs. Joe Crawford and Mrs. Bo Reed of Anson, Mrs. Bill Mimms of San Angelo, Jodie Creel of San Angelo, Bill and Eddie Creel of Anson, and Ted Creel of Pasadena, California.Pallbearers were: TomHolland of Rochester; W. B.t Georgia, and Marvin Mayfield; George Thorne and Andrew McKeever.
