Durant Resident Accidentally KilledZ. R. Brister, 74. lifelong resident of Holmes county, died at his home in Du-I rant Sunday morning from a gun shot b | wound. A corner’s jury reported the [. ' shooting ns accidental. The accident k ix 'urrrd while he was scorching through a closet, the gun discharging the load- into his stomach. He lived only a- short while afterwards, as occupants of s the house rushed in his room to ascer-c t tain the cause of the shot.Mr. Brister was a native of the county and a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist church. Funeral services were held at the residence in Durant conducted by Rev. W. R. Haynie. Interment was made in Brister cemetery.He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ida ForbuR, Friars Point; Mrs. Lu-vinia Humphreys. Shreveport. La.; Mrs.Lillian Strowd. Durant; one son. JeffBrister.
