He lived only a- short while afterwards, as occupants of s the house rushed in his room to ascer-c t tain the cause of the shot.Mr. Brister was a native of the county and a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist church. Funeral services were held at the residence in Durant conducted by Rev. W. R. Haynie.
