Thomas Cronin has been dis charged from the state hospital for the insane, at Indianapolis, and has returned to his home about a mile east of New Ross. Cronin was placed in the state institution last spring after a lunacy com mission had found him of unsound mind. Cronin is reported by the auth orities at the hospital, to be im proved but not cured. This is the second time he has been in the asylum. Last April he suddenly became demented and attacked a neighbor, William Connor, and shot at him with a revolver. Com plaint was made and Sheriff Wren, with three deputies, went to the Cronin home and arrested him. The arrest was made only after a hard struggle in which it took the combined efforts of the offic ers to over-power Cronin. He was bound with a rope and tak en to jail in an auto. He is a hus ky man and gave the officers a stiff fight. Cronin lived with a sister until his latest troubles, the woman be ing compelled to leave the house on account of her brother’s brutal treatment.
