Right Rev. Bishop •!. P. Campbell, D.D.LL. D., presiding; by whom religious services were conducted.The Uishop read the first chapter of the Acts of the Apostle, aud commented upon the same, showing to the Conference that a minister of the Gospel of Christ must be endowed with the gift of the Holy Spirit, in order to be successful iu (he work.After which Rev. \V. I). Johnson, A. M., was elected Secretary of the Conference; Revs. James Porter and S.H. Robertson were elected Statistical Secretaries.
