From staff reports The Ingram Tom Moore boys basketball team held Bianco to nine second half points in its 60-29 win Friday at home. The Warriors (20-6 overall, 3-1 District 8-2A) started off slow scoring 23 points in the first half. “I told the guys we played only five good minutes of defense in the first half,” Tom Moore coach Brice Reyouids said. “We settled down a little bit, and we stopped shooting all those three’s.” In the second half, the Warriors cracked the Blanco defense by driving to the basket and hitting layups. “I told the guys that we need to take them off the dribble,” Reynolds said. “Make them the Warrior desided no us sity. They forced 11 steals and blocked four shots. “We got fast-break points, and that put us in the position we wanted,” Reynolds said. Senior Bryce Flowers led the Warriors with 14 points. Fellow senior Rene Rios added L1 points. Up next for ITM is a rematch with Harper at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Harper. Medina comes back to beat Johnson City The No. 21-ranked Medina boys basketball team used a 30-point second half to come from behind to beat Johnson City 4845 Friday at home. Jeremy Kennedy led the Bobcats (16-8 overall, 1-0 District 29-A) with 19 points. Andrew Landry added 16 points and Sammie Williamson grabbed 14 rebounds. Lady Cats fall to Johnson City The Medina girls basketball team lost to Johnson City 45-27 Friday at home. Callie duPerier led the Lady Cats (15-10 overall, 0-3 District 29-A) with 17 points and four rebounds. Medina travels to play Center Point on Tuesday. See Hoops, page 4B
