Robbery Cases to be Tried Wednesday—Prosecutor Will File Information. Criminal cases, now pending in the Boone county Circuit court will be prosecuted by information without a Grand Jury indictment, Prosecutor Robert B. Gaston an nounced today. Under Amendment No. 23, adopted at the general election last fall and declared effective by the speaker of the House at the opening of the present session of the legislature, all offenses may be prosecuted either by indictment or by information filed by the prose cuting attorney. Cases to be submitted for Grand Jury action will be determined by the prosecuting attorney. First use of the amendment will be made here next Wednesday when a session of Circuit Court will be held to dispose of cases against eight local youths charged with burglary and larceny in con nection with robbery of four busi ness firms and the passenger depot Sunday night. The youths to te given trial are: Joe Wells, Donald Wise, Dale Wise, Lee Wilhelm, James Patton, Carl Howell, Ralph Farmer and Jack Downum. They are being held in the Boone county jail in a default of $750 bond each ypending total.
