engagedw mdcning, Jan. 14, in her house work, sustained a stroke of apoplexywhich proved fatal. tJp to the tlmo that she was stricken her health had seethed to be as good as usual, and her j I last illness came without the slightest warning. #On thaVmorning at about 10 o’clock Mrs.'pyo'-w#* in the pantry wheu her daughter, Mr S'. Bradley, noticed a' sudden change in her ap-pearance and started to assist her, but the fatal stroke had done its work and Mrs. Dye became unconscious. In that condition she remained until Saturday at midnight when without apparent suffering she passed away. Her death was a sad ana sudden blow to her family and many friends, deprivlug the household of one around whom clung tender love and reverence of ail her children and the true affection of every person in . any way associated with her. Mrs. Dye did^not long survive her husbaud whose death occurred last summer, Mrs. Ernestine Talbot Dye was born in the town df Edmeston 66 years ago and always resided near her birthplace. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Talbot ana- a memberof that family which is so widely known and prominent in EdmelVQo, Her marriage to Daniel Dye Jtpok place when she was young and tnelfe domestic happinesa was never dttwrupted until the husband Was eummwtied only a little while ago.,, With, him came to this village* frbtii their farm on Plainfield Hill, Mr. Dye bought the house built by Elder Stephen Burdick which has eye? since been their homestead. Sinci hei* youth Mrd. Dye hasbeen a member, of the Free Baptist church in Unadilla Forks. Her Work was in a quiet sphere but it was none the less effective and she was unceasingly devoted to the duties of the home. Her children whd survlWband who are heavily afflicted by the loss of losing .parents within so brief a time are Emogend, wife of Carl H. Burdick, Samuel Dye of Edmeston, Nettie, wife of Gforge M. Bradley. Cora, wife of George Hughes of Plainfield, and Grace wife of Earl Burdick of West Edmeston. She leaves bne brother James Talbot and one sister Mrs. Horace Chase, both of Edmeston. ........
