From Ralolgh County.Km tor Advakcb:—Ah I have stated heretofore this I’iney creek country is very rough and loeky; it continues so for about thirteen miles, then the country gradually begins to open up and the hills are not 00 high. On reaching Raleigh Station we find some very nice country. At this place tho Raleigh Lumber To. has a large planing mill, one band bill and two or three saw mills. The Company also has narrow guage roads running all through these hills. They have four or five small engines that they use to haul the logs to the mills and 1 am glad to say that three of these engines are being run by three energetic Ceredo boys, viz: Golden Fry, John Crabtree and Charles Wilson. This Company also has a main line road of about fifteen miles running up Heaver creek, over and down Glade creek to New river. On the Glade creek side the grade is so sleep that it is necessary to have two switch backs in order to get up and down the mountain.Work in this locality is plentiful.
