A SAFE INVESTMENT.The America a Building and Loan Association Establish a Local Board.Last Friday afternoon a local branch of the^ American Building and Loan As- f sociation was established in this city, Messra. W. H. Wright and E. B. Walker, general agents oi the associaiion,wbo have been in Provo about a week, and have succeeded in raising about five hundred • shares, subscribed by the prominent men of the city, were present, and directed the organization of the board. H. IL Cluff was elected President; John, G. Graham, vice-president; F. tv. c. Hatbenbrack, secretary; W.K. Dusenberry. treasurer; David John,J. E. Booth, Jos, T. McEwaa, S. S. Jones, Feter^ Stubbs, James F. Dunn, and W. R. H. Paiman directors; L. A. Wilson, attorney.Since the organization of the local board, Mr, Hathenbrttck has been appointed manager of the association for Utah county, the agency being conferred by Messrs'. Wright and Walker, the general agents. »The association will fill a long-felt want in this ctty and elsewhere, and coming so well recommended as it does, stock in it will be- more readily suh-scKbed than had it been otherwise.
