tody.In reference to the action of Dr. Wood in coming ashore from the “ Cliingtu ** after examining the amall-pox patient, we took occasion to interview the doctor for the purpose of ascertaining his reasons for the course of action taken. Dr. Wood explains that the case was only a very mild one, and had not arrived at a stage when there would be any great danger of infection hence he considered the course taken by himself in thoroughly fumigating, quite sufficient to ensure safety.
