The inhabitants were terribly frightened. The ahiogle mill was owne l by Frank Brenuao. Patrick McQuillan had charge of the engine and during the uiormug had a good bead ol ateam ou. Jusl before cloning dowu for diuncr the toiler exploded. At the time of the accident McQuillan was going in the direction of the engine aud ho met bin fate without a second's warning. He was atiuck with a piece of toiler pi tie aud blowu with great force out of the building. He fell several feet away from the mill and when his m ingled tody was picked uphe was unconscious. Patrick McQuillan. au Irishman.brother 10 law of Breuuau's, was forty years of age, and hive* a wife aud three children, Roto rt Sumers resides for yiars at Kingsford, and was only employed temporsnly at the mill. Napluo post-office is twenty miles from Belle j ville. ,
