At the Waggs Police Court, on the @int inut., Daniel Boon was charged with the wilful murder of Alex, M'Mullen, blacksmith, Inte of North Waggs. Mr. Fitzhardinge appeared for the de fence ; Mr. Sub-inspector Meares conducted the Prosecution. The following evidence was taken :— Patrick Ryan deposed: I am a constable sta tioned at Wagga ; I was on duty on the Lowd in Fitzmaurice street, and I saw the prisoner coming up the street . I was going over to meet him as I wanted to see him, but before I got to him I saw two men standing on the footway in front of Mr. Rand's shop . I was some distance from prisoner Boon at the time, but as I came on I heard Boon say to the two men, “You need not be standing there grinning at me, you should pay me what you owe me.
