HE WAS transferred to Pulaski, Wis. in 1969 where he became the assistant director of the Preaching Apostolate in the Province. Then in 1971 he was assigned to the recruit department of the Order and spent a year working primarily with young people.Since August of 1972, he has been stationed at Lourdes Retreat house in Cedar Lake, Ind. where he again worked primarily in the preaching ministry, conducting parish missions, retreats, revivals and various interfaith preaching involvements. He has been actively involved in the Charismatic Renewal, preaching and ministering since January of 1970.Rev. Janik is also a member of the Assumption Province of the Franciscan Fathers (Order of the Friars Minor) in Pulaski, Wis. Born in Chicago, he spent most of his younger days in the Chicago area.He entered the P'ranciscan Order in August of 1961. Rev. Janik studied philosophy and liberal arts at St. Francis college and took his theological •studies at Christ the King seminary in West Chicago, 111. He' was ordained to the priesthood on May 16, 1970 at Christ the King seminary.SINCE HIS ordination, he has been assigned to Lourdes Retreat house in Cedar Iake, Ind. as assistant retreat director. He has been involved in the preaching apostolate at the Retreat House and in Parishes in the area. Rev.
