Miss Pat Pearson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack A. Pear son, 1121 Darlene Drive, was in stalled Saturday evening as Worthy Advisor of the Jefferson City Assembly No. 16. Order of the Rainbow for Girls, in a pub lic ceremony at the Masonic Temple. Installing officers for the evening included: Worthy Ad visor, Miss Annell Shelley; Marshall, Miss Mary Clibourn; Chaplain, Miss Patti Riner; Re corder, Miss Pam Duncan; Mu sician, Mrs. Russell Bryant; and Mother Advisor, Mrs. Fran cis Tipton. Attending the guest book was Miss Marcia Const ance. A musical prelude by Mrs. Bryant opened the program, Miss Peggy Rich, retiring Wor thy Advisor, gave the address of welcome. Following the Bible ceremony, John Rich sang “The Lord’s Prayer.”’ The Worthy Advisor-Elect, was escorted into the assembly room by her father. She wore a slim column of heavy white shanting, its only trim was a band of heavy silver braid in crusted with crystal and pearls, forming a band around the throat and continuing in an un broken line from the neckline to lihe hem in back. She wore ‘wrist length white gloves and scarried a white Bible topped ‘with a corsage of roses. Following the installation of the Worthy Advisor, Mike Rice sang “‘My Quest.’ A ceremony ‘to honor Miss Pearson was per formed by the officers of the Assembly. During the ceremony ‘a ‘parody of the song ‘All the Things You Are” was sung by the officers. They carried gold keys with ribbon streamers the colors of the rainbow. The assembly hall was dec orated in the East with a backdrop of purple net over white taffeta with columns of yellow roses and green foliage. Honoring the 100th Worthy Ad visor, a large crown with the n number 100 centered beneath a trainbow and outlined with tiny lights, was centered near the ‘top of the backdrop. In front of’ the dais ‘were two white fences entwined with yellow roses. A white backdrop with a large spray of yellow roses hung in the West. Each Line Officer’s pedestal was covered with purple net with a sellow rose and a small crown. Ricky Moore, nephew of the Worthy Advisor, presented Miss Pearson with a gift from her family. The accompanist for the ceremony was Mrs. Bryant. Other officers installed were: Worthy Associate Advisor, Miss Pat Vaughn; Charity, Miss Gail Barnes; Hope, Miss Sandy ;Case; Faith, Miss Rhonda Hunt; Recorder, Miss Lisa Ay ler; and Treasurer, Miss Diana, Griffin. Appointed officers installed included: Chaplin, Miss Marsha Hunter and Drill Lead er, Miss Susi Sitterley. Installed to represent the Seven Color Stations were: Love, Miss Janice Hagan; Religion, Miss, Susan Lockwood; Nature, Miss, Rebecca Auer; Immortality, Miss Diana Craig; Fidelity,] Miss Querned Powell; Patriot ism, Miss Debbie Noble; and ‘Service, Miss Sandy Goodin. Other regular officers in stalled were: Confidential Ob server, Miss Dian Williams; Outer Observer, Miss Marilyn Sondermeyer; Musician, Miss Teresa Bumgarner; Choir Di rector, Miss Nancy Lane; His torian, Miss Terry Hahn; and l Orator, Miss Glanda Parker. Pro tem officers installed were: Miss Jane. Hedricks, Re corder;Miss Debbie Thompson, Treasurer; Miss Patty Garvin, Chaplain; Miss Jacki Franklin, Drill Leader; Miss Joy Owens, Choir Director; Miss Eden Aber, Musician; Miss Bobbi e Ostrander, Historian; and Miss Lynn May, Orator. Installed as Alternates to the Seven Color Stations were: Miss Marsha Davis, Love; Miss Linda Rogers, Religion; Miss Cindy,Goalson, Nature;Miss, Debbie Benning, Immortality; Miss Ginger Cunningham, Fidelity; Miss Sheryl Edwards, Patriotism; and Miss Karen Miller, Service. Installed as Pages were: Page to Worthy Advisor, Miss Linda Haid; Page to Mother Advisor, Miss Sha Beth Shelley; Page to Worthy Advisor, Miss Christy Carol; Page to Charity, Miss Cindy Prouty; Page to Hope, Miss Barbara Mul key; Page to Raigh, Miss Lorie Hinebaugh; Page to Musician, Miss Vicki Sublett; Page to Outer Observer, Miss Linda Moffett. Choir members include: Miss Kathy Nolte, Miss Donna Temehoff, Miss Lynn Grooms, Miss Nancy Burnett, Miss Rhonda Laney , Miss Rene Laney, Miss Ann Toulson, Miss Janie Finnell, Miss Jan Boeller, Miss Judy Heard, and Miss Debbie Asher. Following the installation of the officers, Joseph Driver sang “Love Sends A Little Gift of Roses.” Miss Linda Vogler acted as flowergirl collecting roses from each officer which were presented to Miss Pearson. The Past Worthy Advisor's Jewel was presented to Miss Rich by Miss Benning, after which Miss Annell Shelley sang, “End of a Perfect Term,” to honor Miss Rich. Miss Pearson then presented her family, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pearson, Mrs. Kenneth Moore, Richy Moore, and Mrs. C. H. Engelbrecht. Her parents were honored with a solo by Mike Rice. Presentation of Meritors was made by Mrs. Don Long. Presentation of perfect attend ance awards was made by W. B. Saville. The Worthy Advisor dedicated her term to “Truth” and placed a Golden key on the open Bible on the altar as a symbol of her dedication. Concluding the installation ceremony, the Rev. James L. Pennington of the Community Christian Church pronounced the benediction. As _ the off icers retired from the assembly room, John Rich sang “Lights Out.” The Rainbow Mothers Club entertained with a_ reception honoring Miss Pearson and her officers. Mrs. Betty Barnes was was in charge of the recep tion assisted by Mrs. Cecil Case, Mrs. Howard Hunt, and Mrs. Dave Hunter. Mrs. John Rich, mother of the retiring Wor thy Advisor, and Mrs. Jack A. Pearson, mother of the newly installed Worthy Advisor, pre sided at the serving table. The guests were served from a table covered with a white cloth overlaid with purple net with the draped edges held by yellow roses. The centerpiece of yellow roses featured a rain bow, with the number 100 hon oring the 100th corps of officers. The colors of purple and pale yellow were also used on the gift table and gifts were placed around the Rainbow emblem. The Worthy Associate Ad visor, Miss Vaughn, served as General Chairman of the install ation and was assisted by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Vaughn.
