Port Republic. Jan. 27. Mrs. M r. Wagner and son visited Mr. Fannie Barman at Penn Laird re cently. Mrs. Netlie Batemond, who for merly resided near here, is visiting Mrs. Artemus Morris. The Port Republic Sunday Scho 4 extends congratulations to Miss Liz zie Flick, of Broadway, who has the most perfect record for attending Sunday School of any student in Rockingham County. She has at tended every Sunday for the past 21 years. Members of the Port R public Sunday School hope thas she will be able to attain the gow that she has set for herself, of 2 years Without missing a Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Batemore who came here to attend the fun eral of W. L. Dinsmore, have re turned to their home in Connecti cut. Mrs. Laura Lamb and daughter Mrs. Mayme Willis are visiting Mrs Lamb's daughter, Mrs. Robert Bow man, in Lancaster, Pa. Dr. Thomas Lamb has recurves to his home after visiting relatives here. Lawrence Altaffer and = children, are visiting his mother at Pen Laird. Mr. and Mrs. James E. Shul spent Sunday with Mrs. Shuler sister, Mrs. Herman Smith, of Stan ley. Miss Mae Johnston, of Mill Crees ,spent Sunday with Mrs. H. M. Wag ner. Burgess Chandler has returned home from Danville, where he has been on strike duty with Co. C. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Saufley and children, of Mt. Horeb, spent Sun day with Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Was ner. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mergerhoef fer spent the week-end in Wash ington where they visited Mr. Mey erhoeffer's brother. Mrs. Sallie Morris, of Sawyer Road, was a recent guest in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Shack Roach, Mrs. Albert Wagner, of New York, who was called here by the ilness and death of her father, W. L. Dinsmore, is Visiting relatives were. Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Dinsmore, of Pearlsburg, spent the week-end with Mrs. W. L. Dinsmore. Mrs Pearl Persin and son, of Hagers town were also week-end guests at the Dinsmore home. J. F. Wagner, of Waynesboro, spent the week-end with his family here. Mrs. Hazel Wagner, of Harrison burg, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. T. Wag ner. Herman Huffman has returned home after visiting his brother, in New York. Earl Wagner, of Waynesboro, spent the week-end with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Wagner. Miss Pearl Scott, who teaches near Elkton, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Scott. Otis Kyger has moved into the W. J. Downs home near here.
