Society News and Personals. Milford Social Hour With Mrs. Prescott The Milford Social Hour club met yesterday afternoon with Mrs. Elmer Prescott, with fifteen mem bers and four guests present. After the short business session games were enjoyed, Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Hansen pyeing the com mittee in charge of this part of the program. Mrs. Russell Warren gave two piano solo numbers during the afternoon. Plans were made for a bake sale to be held soon, the proceeds to be used for the Milford P. T. A. Mrs. Harry Loucks, Mrs. Kirby, Mrs. Mack Allen and Miss Ruth Allen were guests of the after noon. The February meeting of the club will be held with Mrs. Slo cum, February 16, at which time a valentine program will be fea tured and officers for next year elected. Leisure Hour Club Entertain Husbands The ladies of the Leisure Hour club entertained their husbands and families Friday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Robinson. An oyster supper was served at 7:30 after which the evening was spent with music and con tests. During the evening a musical number was given by Roy Jones and his daughter, Frances, and readings were given by Harold fluff, Margaret Huff and Fran cis Jones. Richlard farm Bureau Women Meet Friday An l day meeting of the Rich iam Farm Bureau women will be id at the home of Mrs. J. C. Hullum next Friday begining at 10 o'clock. Each lady is asked to bring dishes for her own use, sandwiches and one covered dish. Two lessons will be given and the following articles needed: Scissors, pins, embroidery hook, ten yards of rags folded as for the braided rugs, note book and pen cil, scraps of cretonne or drap ery material, small pieces of oil cloth and scraps of embroidery thread. All women are invited to attend. Misses Helen Rasmussen and Barbara Hartman who are at tending the University School of Commerce in Des Moines are ex pected to spend the weekend at their respective homes in the city. Miss Mary Maroney visited friends in Iowa Falls on Monday Miss Genevieve Nelson will spend Sunday in Des Moines with friends. Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Robinson and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Mabe were among the many Nevada people in Colo Tuesday evening attending a joint installation program of the Colo Odd Fellows and Rebe kahs. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Harris were Cole visitors Tuesday even ing. Miss Irene Markland is expect ed home today from a visit at Harlan, Hawarden and Sioux City. Mrs. J. C. Rasmussen of Spen cer who has been visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. V. W. Judd for the past week will return to her home tomor row. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lough and family who have been living the past year on the McConnell farm south of town, have rented the Dawson farm east of the city for next year. Ed McConnell will farm the home farm this year, with Mr. and Mrs. Louis DeWald and daughter, Yletta, making their home with him. Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Neasham were Des Moines visitors yester day. Joe Curtis and family who have been living in Marshall county for the past few years will move (Continued on Page Four)
