Women’s choiceAlthough feminists generally regard House Democrats much more favorably than House Republicans, Congressman McKinney seems to be an exception. This is the implication of an analysis by a leading feminist publication, Woman Activist. Last week W.A. said that on the basis of votes on four feminist issues that came up in the House last term, 98 Democrats had perfect scores while only six Republicans did. Congressman McKinney got 75-pretty high for a Republican and tops for a Connecticut Republican. The issues were: the equal rights amendment; job discrimination; discrimination in higher education, and Government support for child day-care calters. The Senate hasn’t been rated because not all these issues have come up there yet.
