Interested Garden Club members are invited to join the landscape study group forming Thursday at 10 a.m. at the home of Mrs. Earle Wright, 689 Central Ave. The Federated Garden Clubs of Michigan are uniting with Michi gan State University Continuing Education Department to put on four courses in Landscaping Archi tecture which parallels the Flower Show judging schools. These courses consist of two days of lectures and an exam the fol lowing day and are staged about six months apart. Attendance at the first course offered last Nov ember is not necessary to join the second one. It will be compulsory to attend the spring session to con tinue. Purpose of the course is to in form garden club members of good landscape practices and encourage better landscaping of home grounds. Michigan is the first state to offer these landscaping schools. This study group is being formed to discuss the books assigned as outside reading. It plans to meet in all-day session once a month. One of the members of the group will be Mrs. Phylis Evans of Hart ford, State Garden Club president. Attending the November meet ing and starting the group are Mrs. Wright, Mrs. Fred Pickel, Mrs. Carl S. Cook and Mrs. John J. Brower
