Proposals are requested ,until March 15, 1923, for the performance of the following emergency winter weekly mail services; A. From Nancy, (u. ¢.) by Susitna, McGrath, Tokoma, Ophir and Idita rod, to Flat, Alaska, and back, one round trip a week, from November first to April 3, each winter, by a sched ule satisfactory to the Department of thirty days running time on the first trip,and twenty-five (25) days on sub sequent trips, weight of mail not to exceed 800 pounds per single trip each way, from November 1, 1923, to April thirth, 1926, B. From Nenana, by McGrath, To koma, Ophir and Iditarod to Flat, Alaska, and back, one round trip per week, from November first to April third, each winter, by a schedule sat isfactory to the Department of thirty days running time on the first trip and twenty-five days on subsequent trips, weight of mail not to exceed 800 lbs. per single trip each way, from Nov ember first, 1923, to April 3, 1926. Note—But one of these can will be let. Bids on this service should be made by stating the price per round trip. Nancy (Mile 181) and Kobi (Mile 887) are points not post offices on the government railroad and the eontrac tor on this Flat route will be required to arrange for the delivery and re ceipt of mail to and from trains. No bond will be required of the suc cessful bidder but a satisfactory guar antee will be required from a pes sible party, vouching for the faith and ability of the bidder. Such guarantee should accompany each pro posal. Proposals should be submitted to the Chief Clerk, Railway Mail Service, at Nenana, Alaska, and should reach that office,prior to 6 p. m.
