DIEDSIMONS—At his home in Fredericks-burg, Iowa, January 8, A!JenSimony. ^Deceased was .JjafS in Berkshire county, Alassac/u^Tts, in 1820. in 1848 he moved to Connecticut and. engaged in bJackswithing. He was married in -January, 18*53 to dune Strubie. In 1855 he and his family moved to Iowa andsettled in .Dresden township, Chickasaw county where they engaged in farming until 188*1 when ho sold his} farm and moved to Fredericksburg where Fie resided until his death. Jle leaves to mourn Ids death, lt;1 wife, four children and many friends.Mr. Simons was a generous and loving father, a tolerant and forbearing neighbor and friend.The* funeral was held at the JVJL M church, Tuesday alien toon the sermon being preached by He v\ Salisbury. The iulcnuent was at Dose Jliil cemetery.
