MES AND PENALTIES.On the third day of the Session,Dr. Sharer offered a resolution, towhich Mr. Burlingame offered anamendment, and it was .finally adopted as follows:1Resolved, That all officers who havereceived moneys in the way of fines andpenalties be required to make a completestatement in detail and items of all suchmoneys coming into their hands and themanner in which they have disposed ofthe same.This action of the Board was receiv-dWiH.ter.JWiter.JBo.forVrLeed with general favor by those citizens who knew of it, and it was expectedMeH.that the County officials having re-t-irw3-ceived this early notice of the courseintended to be pursued would be ableto find no excuse for a non-compliance with the law, and for once, at least,the people would knew what had become of the fines and penalties collected.PriBafOn the 15th day we find the following resolution offered by Dr. Sharer:EliClPewtoi0.aen7*hi©Resolved, That the fines and penaltiesreported by County Officers as requiredfe3Blt;YCli-c-a-it»gofthis Board.And the following list of fines re-ported in the County Treasurer’sreturn :Pi(*ureJ.
