woman called and said her bNMSU honors Wolslager Foundation contributionsSUN-NKWS REPORTiI(LAS CRUCES — The New Mexico State University Foundation is hosting a Stewardship Story at 10 a.m. Friday in the O’Donnell Hall lobby to celebrate the gen- Jcrosity of the Wolslager mFoundation, which supports (student scholarships for lt;NMSU and Dona Ana Com- [munity College students.The Wolslager Foundation has been supporting non-tra-ditional students through scholarships at NMSU and DACC since 2002. They have given more than $2 million to support students. The foundation awards 70 scholarships to students at both campuses each year. The Wolslager Scholarship is available to full-time students at DACC and NMSU students who transferred from DACC to complete their undergraduate work.The Wolslager Foundation was established to improve M the quality of life for individuals in the area where J.W. and the late Josephine S. Wolslager owned and operated their Coca-Cola bottling franchise. Since 1996, The Wolslager Foundation has distributed more than $38 million to more than 190 nonprofit organizations in southeastern Arizona, south-central New Mexico and West Texas.Board members and officers of the foundation include: J.W. Wolslager Jr., president; Stephen J. Wolslager, vice president; Shirley Rogers, treasurer and director; Trey Wolslager, director; and James A. Carter, director.This event is part of a series of Stewardship Stories, to highlight the amazing programs that have been established at the university thanks to the generosity of its donors.
