Mary Kaeser, former De puty Tax Commissioner for the City of Harrison, was promoted to the position of Tax Commissioner by Harri son City Council, on January 18, 1983. Mrs. Kaeser has been the Deputy Tax Commissioner since April of 1982 when the Harrison City Income Tax came into existence. Being one of seventeen women from Hamilton to obtain the title of Tax Comm issioner, she has taken her job very serious spending a considerable amount of time training for the Position. Mary has been under the direction of George Schiele. Mr. Schiele, approved by Civil Service, has been coac hing her for the Postion of Tax Commissioner, prepar ing for the Civil Service Exam which was required for the position. Prior to Mrs. Kaeser's position as Deputy Tax Commissioner, she attended the HR Block School. Being a highly substantial student, she was advanced to more technical aspects of the HR Block School by instructor Bertha Baker. Completing all the courses they had to offer, she went to work as an HR Block Tax Consultant in Jan uary of 1979. Mary Kaeser lives in Harr ison with her husband Paul and three children, Bonnie age 8, Corey age 5, and Cassandra age 3. Bonnie and Corey are students of Harri son Elementary School. Cas sandra (Cassie) is a student at Christ Centered School. Mr. Kaeser is a teacher at South Dearborn High School and is the head freshman football coach, assistant bas ketball coach, assistant vars ity baseball coach.
