Rites acre perfomed in the Salt Bake LDS Temple January 8,receptionILL)tNewlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Murray greeted guests at a reception Saturday evening January 13Ui in the Roosevelt Second Ward Chapel The couple was married January lh in the Salt Lake Temple with Temple President Willard Smith officiating.THE BRIDE formerly Miss Carolyn Stoddard, is a dough ter of Mr. and Mrs Edgar E Stoddard of Roosevelt. Mr. Murray is the son of Mr and Mrs Clyde R. Murray also of this city.For her reception the lovedy bride wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace, designed with a bouffant skirt and tapered sleeves. Her fingertip veil of illusion fell from a jeweled crown and she carried a bouquet of red roses centered by a white mum.ATTENDING AS maid of honor was a sister of the bride. Miss Shirley Stoddard. She wore a beige brocade after five dress and carried white gardenias. In red brocade ah eat! is with white over skirts and carrying white gardenia corsages were the attendants, Mrs. Darwin Nielson. Janet Brough, Irene Jensen and Phyllis Timothy.For her daughter’s weddingleccpUon Mrs. Stoddard chose a beige woo) dress The bridegroom’s mother, Mrs. Murray, wore a gown of green nylon. Both had corsages of whiteroses.DOYLE WILKINS, a cousin of the groom, performed duties of best man, while Larry Murray and Charles Stoddard ushered .A gorgeous three-tiered wedding cake trimmed with red and white roses and an intricate lace overlay was topped with a miniature bride and groom. The cake was displayed to advantage on a table covered with white lace. In cliarge of serving wore Mrs Jess Hullinger, Mrs Jack Shepard, ami Mrs. Golden Cod ins. At either end of the serving table were two simple roses in crystal bud vases.MRS. VENOY DAVIES. Mrs Blake Esau It and Mrs. Kent Scholes were in charge of gifts while presiding over the guest book was Mrs. Melton Stoddard., A delightful program climaxed by dancing to music furnished by Tal's orchestra was emceed by Leonard Furguson The program consisted of a song by Doyle Wilkins; reading, Mrs. William Parrish; song, by Bobby LaRose; vocal solo, Mrs Jay S. Fiszgerald; and duet, Kent Mem molt, trumpet, and Leonard Ferguson, guitar.FOR HER GOING away ensemble the bride changed to a cream colored brocade after five ■dress with black accessories.Following their honeymoon trip to Salt Lake the young couple returned to Roosevelt where they are making tiieu-home.MRS MURRAY attended B Y.U. for one semester and the groom attended LDS.
