Mrs. Maggie Winegourd, widow of John Winegourd, died Tuesday night at 10:30 o'clock at her home near Shady Grove. About one week ago Mrs. Winegourd was taken sick with gall stones and later congestion of the lungs developed, causing her death. Mrs. Winegoard was a woman of sterling qualities and a noble char acter. She was a consistent member of the church of the Brethren, hold ing her membership at Mill Creek. She was a good Christian mother, and will be greatly missed throughout the neighborhood, Mrs. Winegoard before marriage was Miss Margie Grever and was born and reared on the place where she died. She was 69 years old last August. her husband died fifteen years ago. Surviving her are seven children: William, of Shady Grove; Newton, of Laurel Hill; John, of GCrasg Keys; Mrs. Fannie Dillard, of Scottsford ; Mrs. Ida Lamb, of Waynesboro; Frank and Benjamin, at home. She leaves medicine reper om Momerte ; also fifteen grand children survive her. The funeral services will be con ducted this morning at 11 o'clock from the Mill Creek Church of the Brethren by Rev. C. Je. Long. The family wish to thank their friends for the many kindnesses shown them during the illness and death of their dear mother.
