The snow storm we had bore Iasi weekwas undoubtedly the worst we Unveseen tor rather felt; for years; we haveheard of several parties who lost cattleand hoj?n in it, and probably more tohw of yet. The roads are badly blockaded on account of the large snow banks.We have had no mail for about two weeks, comseq uentl v we know nothing or that blizzard ontsido of our own neigh-borhood. It must have rayed severely at the bachelors hall for the chief manager claims that it blew e© hard that he lost sitflit of liis noeo whil^ doin^ Ronif chores and it is of pretty fair size, too.Hoping that the February sun will bring us weather to keep our ink from freezing and thaw that tardy mail earner out, we will close for this time,Jan. 21. n *r
