Mrs. E. W. MadsenLulu A. Edgcomb was born in Ohio I Oct. 21, 1873, and died at her home north of Fruitland, Saturday, January 19, 1929, aged 55 years, 2 months and 129 days.I On September 5th, 1900 she was I united in marriage to Edward W. Madsen at Missouri Valley, Iowa. They moved to Idaho in the summer of 1910.I To this family was born one daugh-I ter, Katherine E. Madsen Leitch of , I Washington, D. C. now in Concord, N.C.Mrs. Madsen leaves to mourn her [death, her husband, Edward W. Madsen and daughter Katherine; her fath-I or and mother of Missouri Valley,I Iowa, and a brother, Richard Edgcomb of Omaha, Nebr. Two brothers preceded her death, Orlo, who died I during the world war in France, and I Earl who passed away several years I ago in Dayton, Ohio.Mrs. Madsen was a member of the I Eastern Star of Payette. She has been a member of the church sinew her childhood, and always has taken an active part, being pianist of the I Fruitland Methodist church for years.Funeral services were held at the Methodist church, Sun. at 3:00 o'clock I conducted by Rev. Roseberry. Inter-1 ment will be made at her old home ir* I Missouri Valley, Iowa. As the fell- i ing of a stately oak leaves a lonesome place against the sky, so the death of Mrs. Madsen leaves a lonesome place i in the hearts of all who knew her.
