Belleville, Ind., Jan. 24.—Edward Nichols of Stilesville, whose arrest on suspicion of being implicated in the Hinshaw murder was reported yesterday, has been placed in the Danville jail. He claims to have been in Stilesville on the night of the murder and that he will be able to prove where he was after church. There is a belief that if Nichols is not guilty he knows enough to make his detention important.
