•♦i*-- *Death of Mr. S. Tj. Thompson., . JDeath lias again swooped down upon us, and its victim was Mr. Stephen L. Thompson, who fell quietly asleep i# Jesns last Monday morning at 5:30 o'clock. His complaint was heart disease, from which he suffered a great deal, especially during the last year. He was born,in Burke . county, Ga., and had he livjed until the 22d of February, next, would have been seventy-two years of age. The greater portion of his life was spent in Houston county. He was sober, truthful and honest;-a good neighbor, a good and jkind husband and father; he was very industrious, and provided well for his family..! ■ , . :He joined the Primitive Baptist Church at Beaver Creek church, in 1870.
