The City Council met yesterday for the purpose of correcting some matters concerning only property. In the ter of the application of Asher Bros. for a deed to Block 98 in the City of Phoenix, Mr. 31. W. Kros off-reds the following resulus Hon which was adpted. Resolved. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to execute br M. Asher Bros.,on the part of the Ciy of Phoenix, a quit claim deed to Block $6 in said City of Phoenix. A substitute for deeds made by te Judge of Maricopa ty one John Caveness which said deeds were never record ed,and are suppose to have been lost as appears from the affidavit of John T. Alsap, who in 1875 was Probate Judge of Maricopa County. In the matter of the application of M. W. Kales for deeds to town pro perty in a case similar to the fore, going alike resolution was adopt ed. On motion of ¥.T. Smith the City Recorver, was ordered to make out Delinquent Tax List and hive the same published; also to prepare an exhibit of the city finances and present the same at the next meet ing. On motion the City Marshal was orderd to collect a license tax from, parties engaged in the theatrical business in this city. -
