Mrs. Lorraine Welch received an invitation to attend the inaugura tion of Ronald Reagan in Washington Jan. 20. The Mr. Washington resident also received an invitation to first district Congressman William Gradison’s open house. The invitation is the fourth for Mrs. Welsh who also received similar invitations to the Kennedy, Johnson and Carter inaugurals. Kelly Lisi, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lisi, Meadowbright Lane, was recently elected fourth district junior girl president of the American Legion Auxiliary Kelly, a junior member of the Mt. Washington Unit 484, has held several offices in the unit. A recep tion was held in her honor at Post 484, 1837 Sutton Ave .* Mrs. William Fellerhoff, 1596 Bloomingdale Dr., Mrs. Robert Simes, 6825 Whitehall Dr., and Mrs. James Flick, 6161 Berenshaw Dr. were named to the Xavier University Mardi Gras committee. The dinner dance will be held Feb. 28 in the Pavilion Caprice of the Netherland Hilton Hotel and will benefit the Library Endow ment Fund and the Honors Academic Scholarships. _ The reception will take place in the Hall of Mirrors at 6:30 p.m. followed by a silent auction and art show before dinner Reservations can be made through Mrs. John Scahill, 2660 Cyclorama Drive. Four local women recently com pleted a refresher course for registered nurses offered by the University of Cincinnati's College of Nursing and Health Continuing Education program, Jean, Fondelier, 8175 Ashgrove Drive. Shirely Jakubowski, 6907 Maidimarian Court, Rose Reinhart, 843 Pinewell Drive, and Elizabeth Gray, 6058 Sebright Lane, com pleted the eight week refresher course for nurses who have not had active involvement in nursing for five years. The course is designed to help registered nurses update knowledge and skills to return to hospital nursing. The course will be offered again March 16 through May 8: Classes and laboratory practice will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at Procter Hall.
