Noise Aids in SurrenderThe noise of placing a bullet into the chamber of a high powered rifle was all a homeowner needed to Hush out a suspected burglar from his Kl Kio home Thursday night, sheriff's deputies said..lames T. Harper, 21, an automotive body worker, told deput ies he returned home from work at 6:20 p.m. to find a television set placed on the floornext to the front door, along with numerous other property.Thinking someone might still be in his house, deputies said Harper rushed to his bedroom, grabbed his rifle and started to place a bullet into the chamber when suddenly he heard someone say: “Don't shoot.He said a man then walked out of the bathroom off thbedroom with his hands raised high Harper then held the man at gunpoint until deputies arrived minutes later Emiliano Lugo. 19, of 3486 Kene St.. was booked in county . jail on suspicion of burglary. He was also wanted on a warrant issued by Oxnard Municipal Court charging he failed to appear in court on his written promise, according to deputies.
