Mrs. C. WithersAfter a lingering illnessJean Johnson Withers of 39 John St. died Jan. H in her 78th year.Funeral service was Jon. 14 at the Rumlcy-Shoemakcr funeral home conducted bythe Rev. A. 1C. McKenzie. Interment followed at Fair-view cemetery. Pallbearers were Ken Withers. .Scott Withers and Mark Withers, grandsons; Terry Wilson and Joe Massey, nephews, and Herb Dodds, family friend.Mrs. Withers was bom In .Scotland and was married there in 1914. She had lived the past 56 years in Canada.A homemaker. she was active in the Ladies’ Aid of the Presbyterian church.She is predeceased by husband Charles and survived by sons and daughters Bill and Grant Withers of Acton, Rita Schilling of Houston, Minn., Evelyn McKinnon of Guelph, Helen Coxe of San Diego, Calif.; sisters Ina and Martha of Acton, and Ella of Detroit;14 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.
