EXTRAORDINARY BATCH OFINQUESTS.Mr Alfred Hodgkinson held an inquest last Fridey evening at the “Rose and Crown,” Lower Edmonton, on the body of John Henry Hunter, aged 26, who formerly resided at 2, Holm-villas, Vtctoris-road, Lower Edmonton, and whose body was found in the-river Lea as reported by us last week.Mrs Emily Andrews of 74, Wakefield-street, who had known deceased since he was 16, identified the body. She knew that he had had a tiff about getting married. He had no relations living only his mother, who was at the present time undergoing an operation in the London Hospital. Deceased went out to work on December 21st on night duty at Messrs Ridley Whitley’s, and did not return. The body was found on January X2th.Thomas Arnolds of 18, Brettenham-road, deposed ihat on January 12th he was walking along the towing path at 7 30 a m. when he saw the body floating in the water. He called a man named Alfred Josih Green who was passing at 8.15. Green got on a barge, but he thought if was a dog His attention was again called at 8.45 when he found it was a man. The body was removed from* the water. - P,c. 436 N stated that he was called about 9 a.m. There were no marks ol enternal violence. He found on deceased a letter with his name and address, a memorandum book, two papers, ten shillings and sixpence in silver, and four* pence in bronze and some old coins.The jury returned an Open Verdict.
