Campbell authorizes us this week to announce him a candidate for the office of Circuit Court Clerk of Washington cc unty subject to the action of Lhe Democratic party at the primary election February 21. Mr, Campbell is perhaps known to as many people as any other one man in Washington county and few indeed there can be found but what speak well of him His popularity is general and extends to all classes. Ho has been before the voters of the coui ty on several occasions and their votes have always brought him out victorious. The fact that he has always faithfully and honorable |erfortned the dutie-. of the office toF. M CAMPBElJjwhmh bo was elected is the recompense he gave the people for thoir trust in him. He is a man of Whom it can truthfully be said that none who ever askerl of him a reasonable favor was ever turned away disappointed. He is ever loyal to his party and his friends and tothose who differ with him politically he ts always most friendly and considerate. Mr. Campbell has only recentlv yielded to the urgent demands of bis friends that he become a can didate for m election and it may not bo possible for him, in the short lime be (ore the date of primary to visit all parts of the county but he has had many assurances that his interests will be looked after and that his friends will rally to his support on the day of the primary.
