Held Its Third Annual Reception Theursday Evening. The Remsen Tennis club held its reception, which is of annual occurrence, in Rivers’ academy State and Court streets. Thursday evening. Most of the elite residents of Carroll hill were present, and, owing to the diligent supervision of the re ception and floor committees, everybody was provided with an as enjoyable time as they sought. An excellent orchestra discoursed fa miliar and well measured music and the floor was in a condition to suit all hands (and feet) at once. The music gallery was tastefully and ap propriately drape‘with tennis nets and sundry racquets, the monogram of the club occupying a conspicuous position in the center. The gowns worn by the women were rich in texture and ex pensively made, in such a fashion that the youth ful beauty of the wearers was set off to the best possible advantage. The officers of the society are Henry Petera, president; Miss Lena Peters, secretary; Miss Marguerite Werner, treasurer. Heception and floor committee—O. F.
