BURNS NUGENTBurns Quarton Nugent passed away on Wednesday, January 13,2016, at Freedom Springs Manor, Lake Forest, where he had been receiving care including hospice. At age 90 he had led a full life of being a broadcaster, civic volunteer and world traveler. Of the 22 years he spent in laguna Woods Village, as a second generation resident, he. served 16 of those years as either a board member of United Mutual of Golden Bain Foundation, along with a 7-year co-presidency of Community Concerts.He leaves his wife Joan, of 63 years, a daughter and 7 great-grandchildren. His community contributions were acknowledged in his recognition as Leisure Wori-der of the Month in Dec ember 2004.Plans are being mad for “Toast to Burns” and friends and colleagues will be informed.Nugent
