Jerry (McGoo) Kaiser, who grew up within the shadow of Winnequah Park in Monona and learned competition early as a bat hustler for the Monona Grove Lakers, made that knowledge of competition pay off Tuesday night in the Casing Lanes’ Major league. Kaiser blasted his first national and led city bowling with 736. Kaiser linked 264-214-258 for Jim’s Pro Shop as that lineup totaled 3,039. Bun Duve, co-operator of the Casino, slammed 705 in the same league. Duve had 255-277-173. Two other men’s nationals were chalked up in the Bowl-A-Ward’s Merchants wheel. Bernard Nelson chained a 706 series in games of 234-245-227 while John Schneider fashioned 703 on 239-207-257. Jess Parizo and Jim Nye had 697 and 695, respectively, in the St. Maria Gorett loop at Schwoegler Park Towne. Linda Lower posted the lone national for the fairer sex. Linda hit 602 in the Bowl Dusters circuit at Burr Oaks Bowl. Her games were 185-251-186. Lefty Jackie Dahms slammed 595 with a 207 start in the Queens league at North Gate. Chuck Quartana spared the first frame and then hit 11 straight strikes in firing a 290 singleton in the Capital City loop at Schwoegler Nakoma.
