Papke Leads Red-Slate Sweep Green Twp GOP ElectionsJames J. Papke was elected to advance from first vice-president to the 1970 presidency of the Green Township Republican Club at the annual election last Wednesday night (Jan. 14) in the Mack Fire H a I I , 6120Bridgetown Rd. ^He led a victory sweep by his Red Ticket which won all seven executive offices and! eight of the nine seats on the board of directors, }Mr. Papke, of 5584 BiscayneAve.( Bridgetown, is completing his second term as first VP, was second VP in 1966 and 1967and served on various committees in 1964 and 1965. He is an issue deputy for the County clerk of courts. ^Elected as the new first vice-president is Jack Haley, who just completed a second term second VP, He has been s u p e r intend e n t lt;f G r e e nTownship roads since January,1968.Winning a first term as second vice president is Attorney Edwin C. “Ted” Price Jr., who also was elected to a first term on the Oak Hills Board of Education last Nov. 4. Mr. Price as a candidate for the 1967 and 1968 presidencies of the Republican Club.Linus Ryland was elected recording secretary and succeeds Ruth Ru eh I man who is retiring after one elective term and one interim term.
