We are havings a few showers after 30 many pretty days. Mr. Tom Deen was in town on Mon day at the blacksmith shop. Mr. Clay Fullenwider was in town on Tuesday shopping. Mrs Laura Carr and son Alfred were in town on Tuesday shopping. Miss Mabel Carr spent Saturday night with Constance Esarey. Mr. James Goldman, who is num bered with the sick is improving nice ly. Mr. Ed Hubert, our trustee, was in town Monday and had his horse shod. Chas. Rissler, wife and baby spent Sunday in town with Mrs. John W. Frakes. Mrs. Ella Pollard was in town on Tuesday shopping. Mr. John Nic Massa was in town on Monday and had his mule shool. Mr. Ernest Rohl and Miss Cora Es arey spent Sunday evening with Mrs. Pauline Esarey. Joe Saalman butchered two nice hogs on Tuesday. Mr. Lincoln Pollard, wife and chil dren spent Sunday at the home of Fred Greiner’s. Mr. Fred. Ronald, of Chicago, arrived in town Tuesday evening to visit rela tives and friends. Gené Galey butchered two nice hots on Monday. Victor Goldman, of West Fork, call ed on his brother, James Goldman and family Sunday. C. C. Saaiman and wife, Frank Galey and wife ,Georeg E. Saddler, wife and children spent Tuesday at the home of Joe Saalman and helped to butch er. Mr. John W. Carr, who spent several weeks with his son, S. T. Carr and family returned to his home in Can nelton last Friday. Mrs. Ora Sprinkle and, daughter, Cecil spent Sunday with Mrs. Meg Frakes. Fred Saddler, wife and children, opent Tuesday night at the home of George E. Saddler’s. Mrs. Anna Land and Mrs. Meg Frakes spent Monday at the home of James Goldman. Mr. John W. Frakes, of this place, was called to the bedside of his half brother, Mr. Thomas Frakes, of Indi anapolis. He was formerly of this place. Mr. Benjamin Thomas Frakes, was born January 16, 1864 and died Jan uary 10th, 1922 at 2:10 P. M. at the Protestant Methodist Hospital in In dianapolis. Tommy as he was known here was married to Miss Mary Esarey and to this union were born eight children, namely, Charley, Ivan, Ruby, Russel and Earl. His oldest daughter, Jennie has been dead for several years. He was separated from his first wife and at his death was living with his second wife. Besides his wife he leaves to mourn, one brother, Mr. Sherman Frakes, of Owensboro, Ky., one sister, Lucy, of St. Louis and two half brothers, John W. Frakes, of this place and Bish Frakes, of Vincennes, and his seven children of Indianapolis, Barbara, Theodore, Charley, Ivan, Ruby, Russell and Earl. He was a kind industrious man and was liked by all that knew him. He was 57 years, 11 months and 10 days old. He was a member of the Baptist church. His nuneral was preached by Rev. Harris and was buried January 12 at the Crown Hill cemetery, Indianapolis. He had cancer of the bowels. The ha reaved ones have the sympathy of the writer. Branchville Camp No. 10131 M.
