The railroad men filed in and took their places on one side of the table °, and the other guests were seat-ed on the onposito. As soon as u the dinner had been served, Dr. '' Coit, acting as toastmaster|a opened the speechmaking in ' his usual genial manner. For the guests he presented Mr. Pratt with a fine ring with a -uby setting, as a token of es-®heem Mr. Pratt in responding ti l that he felt highly gratified with the gathering of citizens of Missouri Valley on that •'pension, and took it as a com-nliment to the Chicago and Northwestern railroad as well as to himself. Dr. Coit then -ailed on Mr. Wattles, who responded to the toast “Reminis-oenco,” telling of the early t' days of railroad work in Missouri Valiev; J. S. Dewell talked on “Railroad .Turisnru-dnnce,” Dr. DeVore “The Right Man in the Right Place: !Iicks|clt; Barnhart n “Fealty,” M. O’Connor, “Loyalty;” Rev.
