On Friday afternoon last, Mr. Otho Ellison, son of Mr. William Ellison of this city, shot himself, in the town of Jeffersonville, Twiggs county, with a pistol. The ball on* tered his mouth, passing entirely through tin* neck. No cause can be assigned for the act. It was very deliberate, and the young man says he meant to kill himself The unfortunate man was brought to this city, and has had tho best attention, medical and otherwise. His condition is very precarious, but there are hopes for his recovery, If hemorrhage does not supervene.
