CAINStaff WriterA Rushvtlle woman injured inan automobile accident near Homer Jan. 6 remained in theneuro-critical care unit at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis this morning.Dana L. Wright, 20. of Rushville. was injured after she lost control of her car on icy roads and her vehicle was struck in the side by a pick-up truck.Wright was unconscious at the scene when emergency personnel arrived, police said. She was trapped in the wreckage for several minutes as emergency personnel worked to tree her.Wright was transported to Rush Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Methodist, where she has remained in theneuro-critical care unit since she was admitted Jan. 6.No condition for Wright was available from the hospital thismorning.Wright had apparently beenreturning from work in another county when the accident occurred about 8:30 a.m. Jan. 6. Due to the slick and hazardous roads, several accidents were reported that morning, including one fatality which occurred on State Road 3 and County Road450 North.Police said Wright crossed thecenter line for reasons unknown when she was struck by a truck driven by Rush County resident Wray L. Jackson.Jackson and his wife. Evelyn J. Jackson, were treated for minor head injuries by Manilla EMS personnel and transported to Rush Memorial Hospital where they were treated and released.
