MRS. MARY BELL Dyersville, Ia., Jan. 20.—Special— Death summoned Mrs. Mary Bell at her home in West Dyersville, Satur day afternoon at 4 o'clock. Although ill for several months her death came as a shock to members of her family and her many friends. Mrs. Mary Bell aee Mary Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Miller, was born April 21, 1860, in Cascade township. She grew up in the home of the late Mr. and Mrs. ©. P. Georgen at Rockville. She re ceived her higher education at Mt. St. Joseph college, now Clarke col lege. On May 29, 1883, she was united in marriage to John M. Bell. They were the first couple married in the new St. Paul's church at Worthing ton. The late Monsignor George Heer performed the marriage. They settled on the Georgen farm west of Worthington where they lived until they bought the James Evans farm near Dyersville. They remain ed here until they retired and mov ed to Dyersville in March, 1909. Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Bell: Alice, Mrs. Harry Arnold, Hopkinton; Clarence, Dy ersville; William and Genevieve, Mrs. J. J. White; Farley. One broth er, Peter Miller of Dyersville and 18 grandchildren also survive. Mr. Bell died May 1, 1912. A sis ter and brother also preceded her in death. Funeral services for the deceased will be held in St. Francis church, Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock. Inter ment will be made in the family lot in St. Francis cemetery.
