Mrs. Matilda Christy is in very poor health at the writing. Fanny Mann and Carrie Brown were in Greencastle Saturday. Zephyr Harris is home on a lay off. Sister Martha Bunyan preached at this place Sunday night. Anna Pike spent one day last week at Chas. Christy’s. Isaac Mendenhall spent Monday with his mother, Mrs. Jane Menden hall. Mrs. Alda Greenlee and James Greenlee are on the sick hat. Chas. Christy and wife attended the funeral of the latter’s grandmother, Mrs. Smith, last Tuesday. Little Bob Christy of Illinois is visit ing at this place. Sherman Christy and wife have been staying at this place during his fath er’s sickness. Henry Gross, wife and daughter of Hadley and John Christy of near Greencastle were called here by the death of Uncle Jim Christy. Miss Ada Jackson who was staying with Aunt Nancy Christy returned home last Friday. Mrs. Jennie Solace visited her sis ter, Mrs. Maggie Gross, from Saturday till Sunday afternoon. Chas. Green and family were in town Monday. There will be preaching at this place on Saturday night, Sunday and Sun day night. All are invited to attend. Mose Burgess spent one day last week at W. D. Mann’s. Uncle Jimmie Christy, one of Reno’s oldest residents died at his home in this place Jan. 13, 1905. Deceased was born in Virginia, July 4, 1813. He being at the time of his death about ninety-two years of age. He leaves to mourn his demise a wife, one daughter and three sons, besides a host of relatives and friends. Fu neral was preached at the church by Sister Runyan, assisted by Bro. Cox. Burial at Danville. Weep not dear wife and children dear, I am not dead but sleeping here. But look from this to Heaven above, And meet me there where all in love. A FRIEND.
