Little TheatreCasting UnderwayIf you’ve ever felt the lure of! footlights and grease-paint, or just plain been stage struck, then Sikeston Little Theatre is for you.Organized in the summer of*59, and no* going into its second successful season, it is one ofSikeston’s newer organizations.That summer Bing Linn ba ugh,then a student at Memphis State who had participated in Little The-tre productions in Memphis, found considerable interest and enthusiasm in Sikeston for the drama;o, with the assistance of DickBrown, then a drama coach at Sikeston High School, and Mrs. Jack (.’alter a meeting was called at the public library to put machinery in motion for orga a Little Theatre for Sikeston.At that first meeting, there wei eapproximately ISO enthusiasticboosters of the drama present.Tnev organized and elected thelirst Board of Directors eom;xsedof Mrs. Robert Thornton, Mrs. Helen Keuoei. Each play.under the direction of a different director, and made up of a ferent casts, reported much and festivity during the production in spite of the tedium of rehearsals.
