Mr. James Davidson, of Guyra, will judge the fine woolled sheep at Man illa Show. The death took place at Glenicoe, last week, of Mrs. Susan Munsie, at the age of 64 years. Mr. C. R. Craigie has been trans ferred from Armidale to Walcha branch of the Bank of N.S.W. Judge Scholes, who died in Sydney last week, aged 75, was a brother of Mr. Joshua Scholes, Glen Innes. Miss Nancy Roberts, of Walcha, is holidaying at Wimbourne, Manilla, as the guest of Mr. and Mrs G. Bowman. Mr. Geo. Young, of Harcourt-street, New Farm, Brisbane, was 103 years of age last week. He is probably the oldest man in Queensland. Hector Pickham, aged 12, of Wool brook, had his collarbone broken when he fell in trying to mount a horse. He is in Walcha hospital. Mr. P. N. H. Macintosh, who had previously occupied the position, has been appointed engineer to Tenter field Shire Council. There were 91 applicants for the position. Mr. T. H. North, who has been at tached to Uralla branch of the Bank of N.S.W. for the past couple of years, has received notice of promo tion to Mudgee branch, as accountant. Jack Ryder, the former Australian captain, brought his aggregate runs for Collingwood to 10,000 when he scored 50 last Saturday. His average is 45. He has also taken 553 wickets. Transfers of teachers announced by the Education Department include: Miss L. Cohen, Uralla to North New town Primary; Miss F. Kellett, Ken tucky to Uralla; Mr. W. Havilah (re cently moved from Armidale to Wal cha), Walcha to Armidale; Noel McMillan, aged 9, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken McMillan, Big Ridge, broke an arm recently in a fall from a cherry tree at Mr. Selby Wood's, and has had an unen viable time, the injured limb having to be thrice x-rayed and re-set at Armidale hospital. He is now doing well. Mr. Will Rixon and the Mises Jean, Martha and Avis Rixon, who motored over to Lismore to attend Lieut. Fred Rixon's wedding (a report of which will appear later), have returned from their trip, which covered 1300 miles and included Warwick and Too woomba and a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Laban Rixon, now residing near Dal by, who inquired after Uralla friends.
